Beautiful beaten iron key forged from one piece on anvil, 12th or 13th century, square ring, rounded on tip of anvil, beaten solid shank, rectangular bit with large geometric open holes, point to center the rotation in wood of lock.
Good condition; a little oxidation, Length: 15cm, x 3cm.
Classic typology of these keys, as reproduced in documentation.
This should be Auvergne or Ardèche…
