"Louis Garin, Dessert Service, "celtique" Collection: 13 Plates And 1 Dish, Earthenware, Brittany"
GARIN, Louis (1888-1959). “Celtic” dessert service. THIRTEEN PLATES AND ONE DISH. Polychrome glazed earthenware. Diameter 19 cm for the plates and 29.5 x 28 cm for the dish. Service decorated with Breton scenes (five different ones in four, four, three, one and one examples). Two plates are chipped and two are browned. On the reverse: “Celtic, Louis Garin, SDV, France”. This is a production of the Sarreguemines-Digoin-Vitry earthenware factory. There is a similar service with Alsatian decorations. Ref. EB-1806
