"Cantagalli Large Earthenware Vase Majolica Turkish Iznik XIX Century Italian"
Superb two-handled vase in glazed earthenware, Cantagalli factory, Florence, late 19th century. Blue rooster mark under the base. The decoration is directly inspired by Iznik earthenware (Ottoman Turkey, 16th century), with rich polychrome floral ornamentation (red, blue, green and turquoise) on a white background. The handles are finely modeled and accentuate the balance of the piece. The object presents some old restorations: one handle and the neck restored see photos. Height: 42 cm x 36 cm
