Small Napoleon III Box With Secret Compartment, 19th Century
Small box in blackened pear wood marquetry and enhanced with brass fillet. Domed top, varnished rosewood interior and the bottom of the box conceals a hidden compartment that can be opened with a thin knife blade. A simple but very high quality box. Lock works and original key present. Original varnish.
