"Seto Ceramic Japanese Tea Caddy - Japan"
Chai-ire, a round Seto ceramic tea caddy with a black glaze and a beautifully carved bone lid covered in gold leaf on the inside. The artist's seal, Shigeru Yamaguchi (born 1925), is affixed to the underside. The piece also comes with its original shifuku silk bag and box, signed by the artist. Japan, circa 1970, 7.5 x 6.5 cm.
