Two-body Sideboard In Mahogany And Mahogany Veneer, Holland, Late 18th Century
An important two-part sideboard in mahogany and mahogany veneer, molded and carved with Rocaille decoration, opening, in the lower part, the latter curved, with three drawers, and, in the upper part, with two doors, the animated pediment adorned with a shell and leafy garlands, the arched legs with scrolls.
Holland, second half of the 18th century. Magnificent flamed mahogany with superb carving (lion claw paws, cornices).

This piece of furniture has been restored in our workshop (Entreprise Patrimoine Vivant), the result is superb. The gilded bronzes contrast wonderfully with the patina of the mahogany. A beautiful and majestic piece of castle furniture.
Provenance: Château de Sassy, -Orne- former collection of the Duke of Audiffret-Pasquier. Certificate of expertise available and given to the purchaser in addition to the complete file by Antoine LESCOP de Moy
