"Wedding Wafer Mold - 19th Century"
Wrought iron wedding wafer mold, 19th century. Dated 1843. Origin: Lorraine. First side decorated with a religious cross surrounded by flowering branches. The other side bears the date, the name of the spouses, a decoration of birds facing each other (symbol of fertility), a rosette, sun ... The whole is surrounded by friezes. See photos. Engraved with the name of the spouses "GUEPE" and dated 1843. Wrought iron assembly. Closure by ring on hook. In good condition. Rusted and polished set. Note a bent/cracked handle. Length 92 cm, width 24.5 cm
