Mahogany Burl Chest Of Drawers, Restoration Period – Early 19th Century
This ideally sized burl mahogany chest of drawers opens with 5 identical drawers adorned with beautiful gilt bronze entrances representing floral laurel wreaths. These drawers are each equipped with a lock with a key in perfect working order. In the upper part of the piece of furniture, a secret drawer is hidden in the belt. The uprights, straight, fit a plinth with overhangs which ends with two turned ogive-shaped feet. This piece of furniture is topped with a "petit granité belge" marble with rounded contours on the front.
