White Limoges porcelain tureen, Dioraflor pattern, of a very distinctive shape: slightly raised foot, fitted with two scroll-shaped side handles and a lid with a pointed button-shaped finial.
Polychrome decoration of stylised flowers in shades of red, orange, violet and yellow, enhanced with green foliage, applied by transferware.
Green printed mark “Raynaud Limoges France” under the base.
Condition: Excellent overall condition, very slight signs of wear.
Stylistic context: The Dioraflor pattern, produced by Raynaud under the Céralène brand between the late 1980s and the late 1990s, illustrates Limoges porcelain’s attraction to vibrant, naturalistic floral compositions. Inspired by herbariums and botanical plates, it combines a bright palette – reds, oranges, violets, yellows and greens – with a pure white background, highlighting the fineness of the body and the precision of the print.
