Rare Oval Carriage Clock With Calendars, Petite & Grande Sonnerie And Alarm, 19th Century
Rare oval cappuccine carriage clock from the late 19th century, with harmonious proportions (20 x 12.5 x 10 cm).
Brass case with moulded profile, curved beveled side panels and a finely shaped handle.
White enamel dial (slight marks on the dial).
Complications: quarter and hour strike on bells, lever for silence, grande and petite sonnerie selection, repetition, alarm, day and date calendar.
Anchor escapement with bimetallic balance with screws and flat hairspring.
The clock is in good aesthetic condition and appears to be working, sold as requiring revision. Upon request, a mechanical overhaul and case restoration (polishing or gilding) can be provided.
