Beautiful full-length portrait of an inhabitant of the island of Procida off the coast of Naples. The young woman poses seated, facing forward, her clothing is very refined, quite complex, with numerous superpositions of materials and colors. An inscription "Procida" at the bottom in graphite. This watercolor was produced around 1840. Sold in a new passe-partout frame. Please note: this work is in very good general condition. Stains on the periphery without affecting the readability of the work, four pin holes in the corners. Please look carefully at the photos.
