Beautiful pair of gouaches on a black background. They represent two opulent bouquets of flowers, one in a vase, the other in a basket. The vegetation is treated with great realism, it would be easy to name each flower (roses, fritillary, parrot tulip, bellflowers etc...). The black background brings extra elegance and a lot of depth. Very careful 20th century framing. These paintings were produced at the end of the 19th century. Signature lower right to decipher. Please note: these paintings are in very good condition. The inside of the glasses could use cleaning, we have not removed the frames. Please look carefully at the photos.
