Fernand LUTSCHER "Shepherdess and her sheep" Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Good condition of the canvas (restoration). Dimensions: 40 x 65 cm without frame / 62 X 88 cm with frame Fernand Lutscher is an artist from Angers, a student of Jules Dauban. Born in Angers in 1843, he became known as a decorator of theaters and public buildings which built his reputation. He became a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Angers in 1883 and trained many artists until his death in Angers in 1923. A regular exhibitor at the Salon from 1874 to 1890, he mainly painted riverbanks, undergrowth and country roads.
