"Large Bronze Clock Archangel St Michael Dragon Helmet Rooster River XIXth"
Rare large bronze clock with two patinas (brown and gold) representing an angel holding a horn with an animal head, the Archangel Saint Michael standing on the dragon (symbol of the victory of Good over Evil), the latter lying on the helmet-shaped clock, rich decoration of oak leaves, and a rooster and an owl on either side of the dial, signed Rivière, 19th century. This clock is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is very decorative due to its imposing size. It has been revised, works perfectly. We have its pendulum. The lower part (helmet) is signed Rivière. The representation of the archangel here is rich: the horn or trumpet refers rather to the Archangel Gabriel (biblical episode of the Annunciation) while the defeated dragon clearly refers to Saint Michael. Please note: some tiny shocks and scratches on the bronze, tiny dirt and wear from time, see photos. ATTENTION: FOR A DELIVERY QUOTE PLEASE CONTACT US WITH CITY AND COUNTRY OF DESTINATION.
