Oil on canvas, framed (Montparnasse frame), signed lower left. Painter and draftsman, born in Geneva on June 26, 1874 to French parents. Died in Paris in 1947. Adolphe Pétérelle frequented Pompon, Bonnard, Derain ... and participated on numerous occasions in the Salons des Indépendants, d'Automne and des Tuileries. In 1952, the Palais Galliera presented a retrospective of his work. More recently, the Musée de Bergues dedicated a major exhibition to him for the 150th anniversary of his birth.
