"François Crabit “the Architect’s House” – Hossegor"
Original ink drawing, signed and dated 1997 Dimensions: 41 x 32 cm visible – 57 x 48 cm framed, under glass Superb composition by François Crabit representing a modern villa in Hossegor, integrated into the Landes pine forest. Through patient work of cross-hatching in ink, the artist accurately restores the contemporary architecture with geometric lines and glass, as well as the intimate atmosphere of the terrace, furnished with armchairs, a round table and a hammock. In the background, the vegetation of pines and shrubs characteristic of the Landes coastline gives the scene an atmosphere that is both soft and luminous. Work signed lower right François Crabit 97 and titled lower left “The architect’s house”. Sober black wooden frame, under protective glass. A rare piece, which testifies to the artist’s view of the modernist architecture of Hossegor and the art of living in the Landes.
