"Pastel Religious Scene Education"
Large pastel from 1855 animated by 2 characters: 1 bearded man in monk's clothes reading a book (the bible?) to a child in a white shirt. The scene takes place in a monastery, we can distinguish the vaults in the background. Work of beautiful quality especially in terms of the care given to the face of the man which is of a stunning realism. Presence of a signature on the lower left side and a date of 1855. Good general condition but we will note 2 rubbings of the pastel and light stains. Format 73x92cm
