"Puiforcat Set Of 4 Solid Silver Salt Cellars In The Regency - Louis XVI Style With Shells And Pearls"
Set of 4 salt cellars in solid silver by Puiforcat. Late 19th century, their Louis XVI style decoration with a row of pearls and shells in the Regency style is very neat, as one would expect from the prestigious goldsmith, particularly at the end of the century when goldsmithing techniques, more advanced than in the 18th century, made it possible to surpass the quality and finesse of the original models of the previous century. The interior of the work is in vermeil (covered with a layer of fine gold). They are sold with their original spoons, their Baccarat crystal glasses and their case. Each salt cellar bears the Minerva 1st title hallmark (silver alloy .950 / 1000) and the hallmark of one of the most prestigious French goldsmiths, Emile Puiforcat. They are in excellent condition; no accidents; the vermeil is fresh. No accident, no shock to the silver. 1 small chip to 2 crystal glasses. Length: 6.3cm Width: 4.7cm Height: 4.3cm (with the glass) Length of the spoons: 7.1cm Net weight of silver: 104g
