JUVENAL - Satires. Paris, CLF Panckoucke, 1825; in-8, 8 ppnch. + 30 + CLIV + 260 + VI-386 pp., plum-colored half-calf bindings, decorated spines, painted edges. Both volumes. Juvenal (Decimus or Decius-Junius Juvenalis) was a Latin satirical poet from the early Christian era. His Satires enjoyed great success in the late Middle Ages and were translated into the humanist period. They inspired Nicolas Boileau. Translation by J. Dusaulx. New edition revised and corrected by Jules Pierrot.
