Small en cas table, flying table that can form a bedside table or small living room table in solid cherrywood from the Louis XV period.
It consists of a front opening with two leaves and including its original lock and metal latches.
The lock works and the key has been redone.
The opening of the leaves creates a beautiful storage space.
The top is made of white marble set in the uprights and crosspieces.
There is a small 2 cm restoration on the north of the marble on the front visible in the photos.
The set marble forms a cabaret top with the fretwork crosspieces overflowing on three sides.
The front is doubly curved. The uprights end in Louis XV curved legs of beautiful finesse and beautiful proportions right down to the end of the feet. One side has a long low drawer mounted with dovetails whose bottom was changed in the 20th century. three sides are beautifully worked with fretwork crosspieces.
note the pretty recess between the upper part with leaves and the lower part comprising the base and the drawer, it is a very aesthetic and elegant detail.
the lock entries are original. beautiful waxed patina in blond walnut color and preventive treatment carried out with xylophene in the workshop.
a delightful Louis XV period flying table, worked and beautiful on each of its sides.
