Pair of bronze and brass wall sconces, with two lights and Edison E14 screw sockets .
Depicting, in a triangular arrangement, apple tree branches adorned with apples and finely chiselled leaves.
This is the “L’Arbre du Jardin d’Eden” model produced by Maison Roche in the 1970s.
Maison Roche, active in the second half of the 20th century, specialised in the creation of high-end lighting and decorative pieces, often in gilt brass or bronze, with a marked preference for botanical and floral motifs. Its works, produced in small series, are today sought after for their craftsmanship and an aesthetic aligned with the Hollywood Regency and neoclassical decorative movements.
Condition: the pair of sconces offered here has undergone no restoration; it shows areas of oxidation.
