Rare and large 16th century carved oak "Roman" profile panel. It depicts the profile of a woman surrounded by a laurel wreath, surmounted by two griffins. Beautifully framed in purple velvet. Beautiful dark brown patina. Dimensions: Framed: 30.5 x 43.5 cm. Unframed: 21.5 x 35 cm. Condition: Very good. One vertical crack, well repaired (see photos).
