Magnificent sculpture of a rooster and its basket in white clay called pipe clay covered with a very beautiful bronze patina. Proud, majestic, it will look wonderful in any interior. Artistic career: Coming from a family of sculptors, he is the son of Auguste Van Den Kerckhove and was his student. He began his artistic activity around 1880, then after a stint in London, settled in Paris; renowned for his female busts in the Art Nouveau style, he also worked in London and then in Paris between the 1890s and 1910s, adopting materials such as bronze, terracotta, alabaster and marble.
