Description:

Serge Belloni, known as "The Painter of Paris," dedicated his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Every day, in all weather conditions, he immortalized the changing faces of the City of Light and the City of the Doges.


This charming painting transports us to Venice, Riva degli Schiavoni, where we can see the façade of the Doge's Palace and, in the background, Santa Maria della Salute. Belloni enjoyed spending autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the city's architecture and authentic soul. The rest of the year, he spent in Venice to capture its unique light.

Condition: Excellent state of preservation.


Biography:

Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni moved to Paris in 1933. He studied at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and held his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day, in all weather, to capture the essence of Paris.


His travels to Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he perfected throughout his career. His works are featured in prestigious collections worldwide, from Paris to New York, Milan to Moscow.
