18th Century Font In Solid Silver
Solid silver holy water font, depicting a Virgin and Child in prayer in a cartouche framed by clouds, rocailles, and curves and counter-curves.
The receptacle has its hinged lid and presents the same decoration.
Under the lower part, two cherubs are represented and on the top part, a radiant cross.
This very beautiful work of goldsmithing in repoussé and highlighted by a resumption of chiseling in all the decorations.
Work of the 18th century.
