- French hallmark of 800/1000 crab fineness expressed in thousandths, in use in France from 1834 to 1984, present on the bowl, dust cover, and on the rim of the pocket watch case, with the mark of the Besançon Precious Metals Control Office between the lower legs of the crab, number 25057 and the letter C, engraved intaglio on the dust cover and bowl.
- Swan fineness hallmark 800/1000 expressed in thousandths, as used in France, present on the bail, probably affixed during a
passage of the pocket watch to the auction room by the precious metals guarantee office to be able to
check the purity of the solid silver of the pocket watch case and the letters .N.C. in a rectangle.
