This charming hinged candy box is made of cobalt blue crystal, known and collected under the name of "Bristol blue". Its fine gilt brass frame in the manner of filigree work has a rosette above and below in the cathedral style of the Romantic period of the 19th century.
The crystal is entirely encased in the decoration.
