"High Lamartine Glass Vase With Lake Landscape Era Daum, Gallé, d'Argental Art Nouveau 1900"
High vase in the shape of a scroll in thick double glass with acid-etched decoration of a landscape of trees, clearings and a river engraved in deep reserve, painted and enameled on a cloudy marbled background in white and blue. Very beautiful proportions and superb colors, allowing a remarkable large-scale creation. Lamartine, an atypical glassworks located in Algeria, revived and extended after the First World War the ideal of mastery of glass through its creations thanks to the contribution of glass artisans from the Daum workshops who breathed a technical and innovative impetus attesting to exceptional know-how. Note the decorative theme of trees and rivers characteristic of this production. Signature engraved Lamartine in the decoration, numbering 6/3 and monogram incised LA in the decoration.
