BIOGRAPHY:
Paul Delormoz was born in Paris in 1895 and died in Vincennes in 1980.
After training at the Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs, he participated in the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux Arts, the Salon D'Automne, the Salon des Artistes indépendants of which he became a member, and that of the navy from 1920.
He exhibited personally in France, Switzerland and Italy from 1921 to 1965, and in Quebec from 1974.
He painted decorative frescoes for several public monuments including the castle and the Town Hall of Vincennes, his commune of residence where he died in 1980.
He also dealt with religious and historical subjects, multiplied still lifes and was inspired by the landscapes he discovered during his walks. Brittany, Corsica, Midi, Ile de France ...
He also liked to paint the forests of Ile de France and the Breton coast.
Also an admirer of mountain sites, he is a member of the Society of Mountain Painters.
He is exhibited in many museums.
