Louis XVI Period Cylinder Desk In Walnut
Walnut cylinder desk, Louis XVI period. This desk is beautifully made, the cylinder slides perfectly. The work surface is a good size and installed on gliders, it measures 54 cm by 106 cm wide. This top is covered with a light leather with some gilded highlights. The drawer entries are in bronze. The legs are turned, tapered and fluted. The small knobs of the interior drawers are in bone. The walnut is of good quality, which gives a magnificent patina with nuances and contrasts. This piece of furniture has not required any major repairs, it has gone through the years without accident.
