France, late 19th – early 20th century.
Featuring a rectangular head with softened corners, centred with an oval-shaped blue glass; all around, a refined geometric decoration: deep blue background framing bright red enamelled areas, all enhanced with a gilt Greek key motif (the cloisons). The finely textured border emphasises the precious character of the piece. Long steel shaft.
Good overall condition, with light wear and minor enamel losses consistent with age, and traces of rust on the steel shaft.
