Description:

Tyrolean chest in fir wood, dated 1814, a fine example of Alpine furniture from the Central European tradition, conceived both as a storage piece and as a decorative element. The structure is solid, with a flat lid and slightly molded cornices; the front is divided into three arched panels framed by painted pilasters.

The two side panels feature a reddish-brown background adorned with large stylized floral compositions, rendered with vivid colors and strong polychrome contrasts. The central panel, in a lighter tone, hosts a more delicately painted floral bouquet, creating a visual and chromatic balance. The vertical bands and the base are enriched with small floral and vegetal motifs, following the decorative Tyrolean tradition of the early 19th century.

The lid preserves traces of its original painted decoration with geometric patterns now softened by patina, evidence of its antique polychromy. On the lower edge of the front, the date 1814 is inscribed, confirming its age and underlining its historical value.

Inside, there is a small compartment with a drop-down door. All ironwork is original and in working order.
