"Expressionist School "disheveled Elegance.""
Expressionist school. Oil on canvas "disheveled elegance" signed on the back on the frame (to be determined). Foreign school. 61 X 50 cm. Our painting was certainly painted in the 1940s-1950s by an artist who undoubtedly learned the lessons of his Expressionist Masters. We thought we read the signature of Otto Baumann (1901-1992), a painter of the German School who produced rare portraits where the character of the models is just as marked as in ours. Generally, the German artist signed his works with his attached OB monogram. It's up to you to judge. Painted and patinated wooden frame from the period. Good condition.
