BAYONET for MAUSER rifle, with scabbard.19th century
Steel, iron, wood, brass, leather.
Total length excluding scabbard: 43 cm; blade length: 29.7 cm
Straight blade with a groove on each side; stamped B on the back.
Riveted wooden handle, crossguard with one quillon.
Boiled leather scabbard, brass chape, numbered 3475 with the number 2. Chape button engraved with the initials F and I. Stamped brass ferrule.
Good condition, small surface corrosion spot on the blade and bolster, not serious.
