Very pretty carved wooden bench from Brienz in Switzerland. Also called Black Forest production. It consists of two bears facing each other, supporting the seat. The structure is treated in trompe l'oeil of tree branches. The backrest is also carved, a bear cub appearing in its center. The eyes are made of glass, inlaid in the wood. This is a typical work of this workshop. Very good condition, early 20th century. Seat dimensions: Height 47 x width 106 x depth 34 cm Very decorative for a mountain chalet atmosphere, winter garden or even cabinet of curiosities.
