Superb embroidery, very fine made on a gouache landscape background. Dated 1844, it was created at the Notre Dame de la Compassion convent by Emma Vergnès, to whom this work is dedicated. Saint Clare is depicted praying in front of an oratory. Charles X frame in pine inlaid with a dark wood fillet. Very good state. Dimensions of the view: 66 x 54 cm
