Bordered by a frieze, this cast iron fireback, dated 1580, without cracks or restoration (signs of use), is in a remarkable state of preservation.
In a central cartouche of ribboned laurels, Cupid ( or Eros), in majesty, prepares to deliver his message of love. Around it, beneath beautiful arabesques, grotesques spit fruit and bunches of grapes.
