She is depicted in her non-tantric form, seated on a lotus in a Dhyana (meditation) position. Her right hand is in the dana mudra (giving gesture), while her left hand is in the vitarka mudra (discernment gesture). A lotus blossoms from her left shoulder, a symbol of purity and spiritual elevation.
