Louis XV Curved Oak Recessed Credenza, Entirely Carved With Royal Emblems

Louis XV curved oak credenza entirely carved with royal emblems. The front is animated and opens with four doors and one drawer. The crests are decorated with a royal crown and a multitude of other attributes. Latin writing can also be seen. Large frames in the form of false doors are located in the center of the front, surrounding a niche with a silver-plated pewter fleur-de-lis in the background, concealing a secret cache. The cornice rises like a gendarme's hat, giving this piece of furniture a very special elegance. The sides are entirely carved. The large door panels are made of pewter. A traceability card for the piece of furniture has remained inside. This magnificent credenza rests on arched legs. Very high-quality cabinetmaking work. Dimensions: h291 x x 178 x 74.
