Superb large vintage painting from the 60s-80s, by John Haanstra, Dutch painter, depicting a colorful winter urban scene, in a street with pretty buildings populated by small characters walking and doing their shopping. Very fine details, magnificent technique, very beautiful light. Oval format, wooden frame, gilded with rococo/art nouveau gold leaf. 61x50cm 2.5cm thick, with frame, 50x40cm format alone. Very good condition, nothing notable apart from a few small scratches and traces of time on the frame, discreet and harmonious. About 2kg.
