Zoomorphic teapot tête-à-tête in solid silver, Austria-Hungary, late 19th century Charming small teapot in solid silver, intended for tête-à-tête service for two people. In Rocaille style, it features a very rich chiseled and embossed decoration, punctuated by gadrooned and foliate motifs. The spout takes the form of a stylized animal head, while the handle, also sculpted, takes on plant and zoomorphic forms. The lid is topped with a handle in the form of a foliate shell. The piece is hallmarked with the number 13 accompanied by the control mark of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (stylized chamois or tiger head depending on the region), guaranteeing a fineness of 13 löthige, or 812/1000 thousandths. Note a tiny indentation on the belly, discreet and almost invisible.
