Sterling Silver Male Pheasant – Dutch Work Early 20th Century Superb sculpture of a male pheasant in solid silver, made by a Dutch silversmith in the early 20th century. This piece is distinguished by the fineness of its chiseling and the striking realism of its posture, typical of the high-quality work produced by Dutch silversmiths of this period. Description: The pheasant is depicted standing, with an alert and proud posture, its head slightly raised and its tail elegantly fanned. Every detail of its plumage is finely chiseled, revealing great precision. The feathers are engraved with attention to realism, offering a textured rendering that catches the light remarkably. The legs are sculpted with remarkable finesse, placed on a polished natural stone base, which adds stability to the whole while highlighting the solid silver.
