These two pugs are made of bronze, the male is wearing a hat and a bow tie, the female is covered with a pleated bonnet tied at the front. They rest on a terrace of black marble veined with white. This breed of dog that Queen Victoria loved is very popular with our English neighbors who humorously represent them dressed in clothes like those worn by their masters. These two dogs have an extremely satisfied air and seem happy with their lot, however their patina is altered in places. 20th century period.
