Small travel pistol with miquelet from the 18th century.

Length 19.5 cm. Weight: 323 gr.
Smooth barrel with two courses, initially octagonal with silver and brass decorations, then round with change ring, bearing remains of original bluing.
Miquelet battery engraved with floral motifs. Splendid chased bronze mount, decorated with silver busts and fleurs-de-lis on the trigger guard.
A small lack in the wood of the tail of the superb engraved counter-plate.
In its very late wooden box, decorated with a count's crown and containing two tools.

N.B. The miquelet plate is of Spanish origin; its name is taken from its use among the "Miquelets", Catalan partisans of the 15th century in the pay of the mercenary Michelotto Corela.
