The scene represents Venus, goddess of love, seduction, and beauty, on the left; and Mercury, the god of messengers, thieves, and commerce, he is also the messenger of the gods, on the right.
Four tiny tiny scratches (égrenures) on the edge. A small two fragments break on the edge, professionally restored (no overpainting), with caused a 6cm hairline.
