Armando Calendi (1882–1943) was an Italian sculptor of the early 20th century, known for his decorative compositions of female nudes, children, and mythological sculptures. His work often features elegantly elongated female figures, typical of the Liberty (Italian Art Nouveau) and Art Deco styles: soft lines, decorative poses, and idealized youth. The sculptor often created miniature indoor sculptures, intended to decorate desks, fireplaces or consoles, intended for the European and North American bourgeois markets. A. Calendi used various materials and techniques for his works: gilded bronze, polychromy, marble, terracotta.
