Rectangular table in beechwood, resting on a bentwood beech base, typical of the Thonet style. Although the original maker’s mark is missing – likely located beneath the original tabletop – the features of the base suggest a plausible attribution to the renowned Thonet workshop. The current tabletop, also in beech, is a replacement, installed due to the probable deterioration of the original.
Condition:The base has undergone conservation work, notably the filling of holes caused by wood-boring insects. Despite these interventions, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of xylophagous activity, as beechwood is particularly susceptible to this type of infestation. Overall, the piece is in good general condition.
Dimensions:Top: 100 × 80 cm
Height: 76 cm
Footprint at base: 70 × 60 cm
