Gérard Barthélémy, known as Barthélémy, is a French painter. Gérard Barthélémy grew up in Paris in the Sainte-Anne hospital, where his mother worked as an editor. He was influenced by this. He studied at the École des métiers d'art in Paris and participated in the Salon de la Jeune Peinture in 1965. Winner of the Prix de Rome in painting and drawing in 1966, he spent four years at the Villa Médicis, then directed by the painter Balthus. From 1973, he held several exhibitions at the Claude Bernard[3], Jeanne Bucher[4] and Hélène Trintignan[5] galleries, as well as numerous group exhibitions. The work is signed and dedicated in the lower margin: For Sam Szafran, G Barthélémy. Very neat period frame.
