Pretty and rare pair of vases decorated with mermaids in the waves by Bernard Bloch. In a style recognizable among all, these beautiful art-nouveau vases are very original due to their decoration and their shape. True pair (a mermaid on each side for the 2 vases), we find a fine decoration on a blueish background with fish coming out of the water, a mermaid taking a fish in her hand and a highlight of pearly water lilies which enhance the whole. Typical art-nouveau shape with this bulb and this long asymmetrical central neck. A plant decoration finishes the vases on the rising part. Very good condition, 32.5 cm, signed BB for Bernard Bloch, circa 1900. These pieces are well referenced, you will find in the last photo, the last piece sold at the model in the auction room.
