Very nice little tanto of the Meiji period Kwaiken type. Dagger for samurai man or woman very popular as a defense weapon. Handle and scabbard in lacquered wood. Black lacquer with pearly reflections oagai, very subtle cloisonné work forming a lively decoration and superb gilding. Wear to the blade, small shocks... Good general condition, some wear.
